Plexiglas Sandwich with Standoff Hardware

A plexi sandwich is generally seen as a more contemporary or corporate look for your art piece rather than the traditional framed look.

This product provides a look where the artwork is floating between 2 pieces of 3/16” clear acrylic. We typically leave a 2” clear plexi border all around the artwork. Standoff hardware posts are used to hold the 2 pieces of Plexiglas together in addition to spacing the artwork from the wall while acting as a hanging system. The artwork is typically mounted to the back piece of Plexi using a small piece of double sided tape on the back side of the artwork along the top. We only use as much double sided tape as needed to hold the artwork in place. Because of this fastening method, Plexiglas sandwiches with standoff hardware is not a method of framing recommended on high value artwork, whether monetary or sentimental. It’s also the only sandwich that’s better without mustard!
